Carmine Leone, Associate AIA
Education: Master of Architecture – North Carolina State University
Carmine received a Bachelor of Science in Architecture degree from the University of Utah in Salt Lake City, UT. Followed by a Master of Architecture from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina.
For 13 years, Carmine has been developing his architectural skills through various building types, with a focus on educational and healthcare. Carmine believes in giving back to the community both at home and abroad. He has lived this out by designing a hospital ward in Niger, Africa, a community/library in the Philippines and 5 replacement squatter homes in the Philippines.
Carmine is sensitive to the sound and memory architecture provides; the experiential aspect of architecture. He is also passionate about children. Bringing these two passions together along with his excitement for the construction process dives him to excel in architecture. Carmine enjoys spending time teaching architectural concepts to elementary students which allows him the opportunity to observe young students living in the spaces we design for them, “I see these young people as the client”.
Outside of the office, Carmine spends his time with his wife Angie and his three children. Great books, welding and pouring concrete are among his favorite pass times.
