This project will be completed in three phases and is updating the first level of the Alta View Hospital. The entry area at the existing hospital is not very welcoming to patients, staff and visitors. Once all three phases are complete there will be an open and welcoming space in the lobby area, more seating in the dining area, and a new administrative suite.

Phase one included the remodel of the serving area, an added classroom/conference room, as well as part of the seating for the cafeteria. The existing serving area was not functional and didn’t have enough counter surfaces to allow the kitchen to provide a variety of food to their customers. NJRA, with a kitchen consultant, designed a new serving area that provided at least twice as much serving counter area. A grab and go fridge was designed close to the cashier for those who were in a hurry. Ample storage for condiments, snacks, and trays was also provided. The finishes for the whole area were also updated including porcelain and glass tile, under-counter lights, and accent paint, used to emphasize different serving areas in line, such as the pizza oven.
