Granite Peaks Endoscopy Center
Sandy, Utah
Year Completed: 2008
Square Footage: 10,000
Client: Granite Peaks Gastroenterology
Granite Peaks Endoscopy Center is an Ambulatory Surgical Center located in Sandy, Utah. The center contains a total of 4 Operating Rooms (2 Class "C" OR’s, and 2 Class "B" OR’s), associated Clean and Soiled Utility Rooms, a Pre-Operative area with 4 patient bays, a Post-Operative Recovery area with 5 patient bays, a Step-Down Recovery area with 5 patient bays, and all necessary supporting spaces for the Surgical Center operation. The Center is located within an existing 2 level building. The function of the upper level of the building is a Reproductive Clinic. The Granite Peaks ASC exists on the lower level, the challenge being both to fit all necessary functions and mechanical system into the existing space as well as maintain an occupancy separation between the ASC (I-2 Occupancy) and the Clinic (B Occupancy) above. NJRA worked in collaboration with many firms on this project, some of which include Marasco and Associates (ASC design consultants), Interior Designers, Healthcare Equipment Specialists, City Officials, and Board of Health Officials. NJRA coordinated with these different firms throughout design and construction to make the center a reality within the existing constraints.
